Best Dressed Guests

A wedding wouldn’t be a wedding without guests and we don’t know about you, but we love being invited to such a soiree so have the perfect excuse to buy a new frock.

There are some lovely dresses out at the moment with stunning floral prints and with the glorious weather we’re having at the moment, we thought it an ideal moment to trawl the shops (sunnies donned) and bring you our favourite five:

Pale Pinks

We always know when spring has sprung as everywhere you look, cherry blossom is in full bloom.
And so our inspiration board this week features pale pinks which make lovely colour schemes for spring or early summer weddings.

Cornflower Blue Party Invitations

We've just received these lovely invitations back from the printers for a party we're organising in July.

The idea for the design came from information given to us from our Client - the colour is the 'birthday girl's' favourite shade of blue and we're having the flower motif transferred onto a cake by local designer Campbell's Celebration Cakes.

We love up-do's because (done well) they stay put, look great and compliment so many of the lovely hair accessories out there (have a look at our previous blog featuring fabulous accessory designer Olivier Laudus).

New Chair Cover and Linen Hire Available Now!

We are delighted to be able to launch our own range of chair covers and linens, available to hire, with a full fitting service if required.

We offer all standard materials (polyester, lycra, damask) to fit all types of chairs in white, ivory or black. We also hire out sashes in taffeta, organza and satin in just about any colour.

In addition to regular items, we also offer luxury chair covers which are statement pieces themselves.

Lemony Blues

It may be well hidden at the moment here in Glasgow, but the sun in the sky is our inspiration for this board. A lot of these ideas can be made cheaply by yourself - save up some empty jars and fill with your favourite lemon sweets or use some old tin cans (remember to smooth the edges) and fill with fragrant freesia in shades of sunny yellow and cornflour blue.

Zesty Orange

Here's an inspiration board we've pulled together that's sure to brighten your day.

A lot of people are wary of using orange, but as you can see, if you keep it simple it can make a stunning colour scheme.

Woodland Inspiration

Inspiration for this woodland themed board was taken from our recent recce to none other than Gretna Green. Our journey from Glasgow took us through the heart of the Scottish borders where the landscape is a myriad of greens and browns.
